Our Surgeon
Dr. W. Wesley Kimberlin
Veterinary Surgeon
A diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, Dr. W. Wesley Kimberlin has extensive training and experience in advanced orthopedic, soft tissue, and neurological surgeries. He specializes in minimally invasive techniques to aid with diagnoses, treatment, and improved patient outcomes.
Dr. W. Wesley Kimberlin is born and raised in Saint Louis Missouri. Dr. Kimberlin received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Bachelor of Science in Biology from Missouri Baptist University where he graduated cum laude.
Dr. Kimberlin attended the University of Missouri-Columbia College of Veterinary Medicine. During his time at the University of Missouri-Columbia, Dr. Kimberlin not only received multiple awards for surgical aptitude and potential, diagnostic skills, and preoperative care of animals but was also actively involved with research. As a veterinary student, Dr. Kimberlin participated in research projects focusing on osteoarthritis and meniscal injury. Upon graduation from the University of Missouri-Columbia, Dr. Kimberlin completed a small animal rotating internship at Mississippi State University. Dr. Kimberlin then completed a one-year small animal surgery internship at Veterinary Specialty Services, here in Saint Louis, Missouri. That same year he was selected for a small animal surgery residency at Veterinary Specialty Services. Additionally, during his time as a resident, he was able to present multiple surgical topics both locally and nationally.
After a surgical residency, Dr. Kimberlin chose to stay in St. Louis and continue to cultivate his veterinary community relationships. He spent the beginning of his career working in a fast-paced specialty and emergency clinic. There he was able to master his surgical skills and learn how to think quickly on his feet. After 10-plus years, he began a new chapter in his career and joined a mobile surgeon in the St. Louis area. Here, he found a love for working in local veterinary hospitals performing orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries while working hand in hand with the referring veterinarians.
Dr. Kimberlin is now branching out on his own to begin Integrity Animal Surgery. He is excited to open his own veterinary surgery practice as the only homegrown St. Louis board-certified mobile surgeon. His new veterinary surgery practice will bring integrity and compassion to the animal, clients, and veterinary hospitals and their staff. Integrity Animal Surgery will provide superior care to animals and veterinary practices in St.Louis and surrounding areas. He knows how important pets are and he will bring this approach to the veterinary community with Integrity Animal Surgery.
Dr. Kimberlin enjoys all aspects of surgery but has a strong passion for minimally invasive procedures. Besides minimally invasive techniques, Dr. Kimberlin, has a special interest in oncologic and reconstructive surgery, and abdominal procedures including but not limited to biopsies, mass removals, gallbladder removals, fracture and joint replacement (total hip replacement), and angular limb deformities. Dr. Kimberlin is particularly interested in the human-animal bond and desires to excel in the compassionate care of his patients and their owners.
Outside of Integrity Animal Surgery, Dr. Kimberlin enjoys spending time with his family, leading a community group at his church, playing softball, and when time allows playing a round of golf. At home, they have two cats (Dani and Pip) and a golden retriever named Bogey.
